Common Checks

  • Inspect the IAT or combined MAF/IAT connector for corrosion, loose pins, or an unplugged sensor.
  • Check for damaged wiring near the airbox or intake tube.
  • Compare scan-tool intake temperature to ambient temperature on a cold engine.

Common Repairs

  • Reconnect or repair the IAT/MAF wiring.
  • Replace the IAT or combined MAF/IAT sensor only after wiring and connector checks pass.
