Ford software changes can depend on model year, build state, modules, hardware, prior updates, campaigns, and vehicle eligibility. This first research slice keeps those boundaries visible.

How to read this timeline

A source document date records the dated Ford/NHTSA artifact we inspected. It is not a fleet-wide rollout date, an announcement date, or proof that one vehicle installed the update. Vehicle-level state requires the car's own update history and service evidence.

Coverage is partial, reviewed July 26, 2026. It is not labeled complete.

Open research gaps
  • Add Ford announcement dates and separately attributed owner-observed installation dates without inferring fleet-wide rollout.
  • Add pauses, withdrawals, supersessions, build and module identifiers, dependencies, regressions, and corrective releases for every known update.
  • Extend the chronology beyond the three inspected NHTSA-hosted Ford documents and reconcile duplicate version names.
