Rear seat belts are easy to overlook because modern buyers expect restraints at every seating position. In 1965 their presence, mounting hardware, labels, webbing, buckles, and date evidence can help distinguish period equipment from later safety upgrades.
A later installation can still be a sensible safety improvement, but it should not be represented as factory-original without paperwork or compatible physical evidence.
