Factory option
SelectAire added an evaporator and controls at the instrument panel plus the compressor, condenser, hoses, brackets, and engine-bay hardware needed for the system. Dealer-installed and aftermarket systems can resemble factory equipment at a glance.

The price list names Air Conditioner — Ford, recommends tinted glass, and excludes the option from High Performance engine combinations.
A complete system includes more than the under-dash case: controls, vents, compressor and brackets, condenser, hoses, pulleys, firewall openings, wiring, and compatible console configuration matter.
