Ford's price list calls this the AM Radio — Stereosonic Tape System and requires the radio. The player, mounting, wiring, speakers, controls, and associated radio should be treated as one installation.

Surviving units are easy to move between cars, so date evidence, mounting holes, wiring, speaker locations, and paperwork carry substantial weight.
