Factory option
The Tilt-Away system created more room for entry and exit by moving the steering wheel when the door was opened. It is a mechanical system with option-specific column, release, vacuum, and door-related components.
Missing hardware, disabled operation, later columns, and incorrect service repairs are common enough that a working wheel alone should not be treated as complete authenticity proof.
